2003 NASCAR at Phoenix Racetrack

Daryl and Vivi were living in Prescott and he wanted to go to a NASCAR race. Naturally it was the kind of event he would need a friend to share the experience and I was the friend. I went to Prescott and we took a bus to the track along with about 20 other fans. It was a long day. I took a cab to the airport and flew home. Still, I have some good photos showing what a race looks like.

We had grandstand seats that were so far from the action that we needed passports. I had my newspaper press credentials and bluffed my way into the press tent in the infield. Gutsy move.
