I had an expiring Southwest ticket and have a niece in Charleston with a kid I’ve never met. I decided to visit and take him 27 Matchbox cars. Since my friend Jim and Latte live an hour and a half north I added them to the itinerary so off I went.
DAY 1 – Back Woods Quail Club (Their Website) for a shotgun lesson. I thought I was a pretty good shotgun mentor and NRA certified Range Safety Officer but I still have much to learn.Thankfully Dave Lemmen was leading the lesson. He instructed Jim, his sister and me. What a great morning. He taught Jimand his sister first time shooting procedures and how to shoot clay targets. He taught me skills I had forgotten, how to mentor the kids at my club and how to shoot a gun I haven’t fired in several years. A great time was had by all. Plus, the club is magnificent. In the Top 3 I have ever been. Here are photos.
